PHPUnit development moved out of PEAR

PHPUnit2 が、PEAR から独立することになったようです。今後、新バージョンの配布は独自の PEAR チャネルで行われるようなので、使用している方はチェックしておくべきでしょう。

As of today, the development of PHPUnit has been moved from PEAR to a server generously donated and maintained by Tobias Schlitt. (PHPUnit の開発環境を PEAR から移動した。新しい環境は Tobias Schlitt が管理してくれている。)

This step has been made for both emotional and technical reasons. I will not make the mistake and go into details about my frustration with the PEAR Project at this point. The technical reasons, however, I will discuss below. (理由はいろいろある。技術的なものだけじゃない。PEAR プロジェクトに対してはいろいろ言いたいこともあるんだが、今は言わないでおく。…)

個人的にいちばんうれしかったのは

です。この和訳は最初に公開された HTML 版をもとにしており、最近の更新には全然追従できていなかったのですが、これでやっと本家の更新を追いかけられるようになりそうです。
